Quote Status

Each Quote has a status which defines the current state of its progress. All Quotes will usually work their way through each bold status from New to Confirmed in the order described below:


New
The initial status of all Quotes. Indicates that the quoted work has been agreed yet.
Awaiting Authorisation
This is an optional Status. Once you have finished added line items to the Quote, if the Discount total is above your limit, it will require sign off from a Supervisor/Manager. When you change the Status to Awaiting Authorisation an email gets sent to the email address designated in the Allocation Editor.
Authorised
Once the Quote has been signed off internally.
ConfirmedOnce you have finished added line items to the Quote and the Client has agreed to the suggested work, you can change the Status to Confirmed. This will change the status of a New Project to Confirmed. If you require Authorisation you will not be able to Confirm the Quote
Completed
Once all the work on this Quote has taken place, you can mark it as Completed.
Cancelled
Indicates that the Quote has not been approved. Any Associated Jobs must be Cancelled.


Please Note: Our system has robust checks in place to prevent unauthorised changes to Quote status; if you are unable to change the status of a Quote, please use our Check Flags tool in the menu to see what steps must be taken or permissions are required to move the Quote along.
