Only one User can edit a Cover Letter at a time. If you open a Cover Letter when another User has the Cover Letter editor open, you will get a message stating that it is being edited by another User and changes cannot be saved. This prevents Users from saving changes at the same time. You will only be able to edit the Cover Letter again once the User has finished editing and closes the tab.
If a Cover Letter you want to edit is locked, you should first check with the User who is editing it (their Username will be in the warning). In the instance that you need to edit the Cover Letter but cannot check with the User, (for example, they left it open and are now on Vacation), it is possible for an Admin User to unlock the Cover Letter using these steps:
- Open the Quote
- Quote Menu > Unlock Cover Letter
