Hide a Project Type

Modified on Fri, 16 Sep, 2022 at 3:50 PM

Each Project Type can have a status of Available or Hidden. Once a Project Type has been set to Hidden, it will not be available to select when creating a new Bid, Project, Purchase Order, or Job etc.

A Hidden Project Type will be removed from all iCFM users who have that Project Type set up as their default, which will stop any new entities from being created with the wrong Project Type.

The Project Type will still be available to you when using the search pages, making it possible to search for historic or archived data.

To set the status of a Project Type

  1. Main Menu > Admin Options
  2. Open the Allocation Editor
  3. Select the Project Type you want to Hide
  4. Select Hidden from the Status drop down list
  5. Click Save
  6. Your Project Type will now be Hidden

You will need to have the /editallocationrates permission applied to your user profile

Please Note: If a Project Type does not have a status, it will treated as Available by default. Changing the status of a Project Type will not effect existing entities with that Project Type at all.
