Project Types

A Project Type is a distinct business unit within your company. They are required in order to create a Project, and are typically added for each Location; often subcategorised by the type of work that is created in them. Project Types can have their own logos, address and contacts, currencies and banking information, and distinct number ranges for things like Project numbers and Invoice numbers.

The Allocation Editor found within your Admin Options allows you to also modify settings for your Project Types such as a Project Types's default currency, rate card, address, etc.

Project Types are added via our Setup Wizard and cannot be amended. To add or remove Project Types please contact CETA.

Project Types dictate several key properties of a Project, including:

  • Your Company Name
  • Currency
  • Timezone
  • Default Rate-card
  • Logo Image
  • Address and Contact Details

Any time an entity is created on your Project, it will use information from the Project's Project Type. e.g. If you create a Bid on your Project and then create a PDF of that Bid, it will show the logo, address, and company details from the Project Type the parent Project was associated with.
