Cancel a Quote

Modified on Mon, 21 Nov, 2022 at 3:38 PM

You can create multiple Quotes for one Project in iCFM. This may be so you can propose alternative options to the Client, or because they have asked for alterations, or the project requires additional work after initially quoted work is complete.

You should keep track of which Quotes are definitely not going ahead by setting the status to Cancelled once if they have been rejected. This keeps your data tidy and makes it easier to see which Quotes are still in discussion, or going ahead.

  1. Open the Quote
  2. Choose the Red X icon to set Status to Cancelled
  3. The Status will change to Cancelled, and the Quote ID will no longer appear in the Bid Dropdowns

If you cannot see the Red X icon, it means that the Quote cannot be Cancelled. To find out why:

  1. Open Quote Menu
  2. Select Check Flags
  3. A pop-up will open to show any reasons why status cannot be changed. These reasons must be resolved in order to change the Status.
