It is important to understand the differences between Resources and Rate Card Services.
Rate Card Services | Resources |
Services that you provide to your clients | The People and/or equipment you need to schedule, in order to provide those services |
Each Resource can store a list of Services it can perform, also known as Resource Services. In order to track Costs and Revenue better, Services should always be attached to people Resources, rather than with equipment, rooms, or suites. As an example, you could schedule an Artist, who works for half a day on Flame, takes a lunch break, then works on Nuke for the rest of the day. The Artist is the Resource, and Flame and Nuke are the Services.
Just as Artists can perform multiple skills, Resources can be linked to multiple Services.
Please Note: It is essential to keep Services separate and accurate, so you can track revenue against a Service.
