People
/ Artist

People are human resources. Typically, artists, editors, production staff, and so on should all be added as People records. If you want schedule someone in iCFM, or even if you just want to add vacation time for them, they need to be added here.

You can add a subcategory to each resource, and add the Depot where they are primarily based.

Where appropriate, you can also add a default Rate-Card Service. This service will be added automatically to any Jobs you book with this person.

Make sure you also include a day rate if you want to forecast and track the approximate cost of this person on your Projects.

Suites

Suites are bookable Resources. We recommend splitting out your Suites, (Edit and Grading Suites etc), from regular Rooms, such as Meeting Rooms.

Examples: LDN Edit Suite 1, VFX Suite 7, LDN Colour 1

Rooms

Rooms are bookable Resources. We recommend splitting out your regular Rooms, (e.g. Meeting Rooms), from Suites, (e.g. Grading Suites).

Examples: LDN Downstairs Meeting Room, Library Vault, Reception

Workstations

Workstations are bookable Resources. Add your PCs, Macs, and any Servers that need scheduling here.

Examples: Workstation-001, Linux A 25, MacBook Pro 14,1 [002]

Equipment

Equipment items are bookable Resources. This can be tablets, phones, drives, cameras, monitors etc. We even see our customers using it for vehicles.

Go as far as you need to in terms of detail - but in general, we do not recommend using this type of Resource until you are confident scheduling People and Suites. Get the basics right first, and then add more information.

Examples: LDN HD Monitor 1, HDCAM SR 01, Chevy Van 024A

Licences

Licences are bookable Resources typically created for software licences, for applications like Maya and Nuke.

We do not recommend using this type of Resource until you are confident in scheduling People and Suites. Get the basics right first, and then add more information.

Examples: Maya Licence 001, Nuke Licence 002
