In iCFM you can link resources together if they are always booked for the the same jobs. For example, an artist may always work at the same workstation or use a specific piece of equipment, so whenever you book the artist you want the workstation or equipment to be automatically booked on the same job.
When you link resources you choose one to become the Master Resource and then link the other resources to the master. The linked resources can still be booked on their own.
How to Link Resources:
- Choose the Master resource
- Note the ID's of the other resources you wish to link
- Open the Master resource information page
- Add the ID's of the resources you want to link in the 'Include Resources' field (multiple ID's can be seperated by commas)
- Save & Close
The next time you book the Master Resource the linked resources should also appear in the temporary booking list
If you use the Drag or Lasso tools in the schedule to swap one resource for another, the linked resources will be updated accordingly, as long as you are changing the master resource.
