Add Services to a Resource

Modified on Fri, 16 Sep, 2022 at 2:45 PM

In order to track Costs and Revenue better, Services should always be associated with "People" Resources rather than with equipment, rooms or suites.

Each Resource can store a list of the Services it is able to perform. Internally, these are known as Resource-Services.

Once Services are linked to Resources you can tell the system both which resource you want to book, along with what you need them to do. e.g. "David Jones" for 8 hours of "Flame".

  1. Open the Resource you want to assign a Service to
  2. This will open up the Resource Information page
  3. You will see several tabs. One is captioned Services
  4. Click the Services tab (it may already be selected)
  5. You will see a list of the Services already assigned to this Resource (if any) along with some tools for adding new ones
  6. In the top right corner of the Services Tab is a Search box
  7. Type in a few letters of a Service code and you will see a pick list appear
  8. Select one of the items (or more) using the appropriate checkbox
  9. Click the green + Add button to the left of the Search box
  10. The Services will now be associated with the Resource

NB: It is also possible to create the default list of services for a resource from within the Job Schedule tab. This method is almost identical to the process described above.
