Brands & Advertisers

The Brand/Advertiser field is the name of the Company that owns (or advertises) the selected Product, e.g. Proctor & Gamble owns Oral-B toothpaste. In this case, when creating any Product for Oral-B, you would select Proctor & Gamble as the Brand/Advertiser.

It is not essential to use this field, but it can really help when it comes to understanding where your revenue comes from. We are also able to utilise this field to produce some very telling management reports, as well as apply custom rates to bids. e.g. No matter which agency brings you a P&G Project, they get preferential, pre-agreed P&G rates.

On a Product page, the Advertiser field will display a drop-down list of all Companies in your database with the Brand/Advertiser tick box checked. Please Note: You must either leave this field blank, or select a Company from the drop-down. You can not type in a Company name that doesn't already exist in your database.

If the Advertiser does not appear, it could be because:

  • You need to open the Company and check the Advertiser tick box, or
  • You need to create a new Company record
