Sometimes you might need to make a schedule booking for which you are under-resourced. When this happens, we suggest you use Placeholder Resources, rather than real Artists. Placeholder Resources are a way of you making a booking without specifying exactly who is going to be working on the task. Create them in the same way you create regular Resources, and be sure to assign them with the most useful Services if you wish to book Services too. Once you have availability, you can simply move the booking from the Placeholder onto the correct Resource.
Please Note: Generic resources do not incur scheduling conflicts. This means that if a Generic resource is double-booked, the system will not automatically default new bookings to 2nd Pencil status.
To create a Placeholder Resource:
- Create a new Resource or open an existing one
- Tick the Generic checkbox
- Click Save
