Configure Morpheus AI Assistant

Modified on Thu, 28 May at 2:22 PM

Morpheus AI Assistant allows you to connect iCFM to a third-party AI service, enabling AI-powered analysis and chat based on your project data.

To use Morpheus, you connect your own AI account using an API key from a supported provider. This means your organisation remains in control of which AI service is used, how data is handled, and any usage costs incurred.

Before you begin, you will need an account with your chosen AI provider with sufficient credits to use their API. Free or evaluation tiers do not provide API access.

iCFM currently supports the following AI providers:

  • Claude (Anthropic)
  • ChatGPT (OpenAI)
  • Google Gemini
  • Microsoft Copilot
  • Ollama (Local)

The configuration page is split into two sections: provider setup at the top and general settings at the bottom.

Provider Setup

  1. Go to Menu > Admin Options
  2. Open Morpheus AI under Enhancements & Add-ons
  3. Select your preferred provider from the Provider dropdown

You can configure more than one provider. Any already configured will show a green dot in the dropdown. The selected provider is the one Morpheus will use - to switch, change the selection and click Save Provider Settings.

  1. Click Get an API key → to open your AI provider's console
  2. Log in to your AI provider account and create a new API key. Copy it immediately - the key is only shown once
  3. Return to iCFM and paste the key into the API Key field
  4. Select a model from the Model dropdown. The ★ marks CETA's recommended pick. Larger or newer models are more capable but will cost more. Avoid any models marked as deprecated
  5. Leave Max Output Tokens and Temperature at their default values. If you have changed these and want to revert, click Reset to recommended
  6. Click Test Connection. A green banner will confirm a successful connection, showing the model name and token count. If you see an error about insufficient credits, return to your AI provider account and purchase credits before trying again
  7. Click Save Provider Settings. A confirmation popup will appear - click OK

General Settings

The General Settings section is at the bottom of the page. The default values are suitable for most users. There is no reset option for this section, so make a note of the defaults before making any changes.

  1. Set Max Projects in Context - the maximum number of projects Morpheus can include in a single conversation (default 3, range 1-10)
  2. Set Data Retention (Days) - how long chat history is kept (default 30, range 1-365)
  3. Set Rate Limit (requests/user/minute) - the maximum number of AI requests per user per minute (default 10)
  4. Leave Enable Digest Pipeline unchecked unless advised by CETA
  5. Leave MCP Sidecar Base URL blank unless advised by CETA
  6. Click Save General Settings

Morpheus is now configured and available to use from within any project.
