Using Morpheus AI Chat

Modified on Thu, 4 Jun at 1:35 PM

Morpheus AI Chat is an AI-powered assistant built into iCFM that allows you to ask questions about your project data in plain language. It connects to a third-party AI service configured by your administrator and analyses the data within your iCFM installation only.

Morpheus must be configured by an administrator before it can be used - see Configure Morpheus AI Assistant. It is accessed from within a project and requires the /morpheusBeta permission to be granted to your user account. If you cannot see the Morpheus AI Chat option, contact your system administrator.

To open Morpheus:

  1. Open a Project
  2. Open the Project Menu and select Morpheus AI Chat*
  3. Morpheus will open with your project loaded and ready for analysis

* On first use, you will be presented with the AI Services Terms and Conditions. Scroll to the bottom of the document, tick the confirmation box, and click Agree & Continue. You can download the terms as a PDF if required. This step only appears once per user.

Morpheus Overview

  • The Loaded Projects bar at the top of the screen shows key details for your current project - number, type, product, title, client, producer, dates, status, revenue, cost and margin
  • The Data Health Check panel appears collapsed at the top of the chat. Expanding it shows what data has been loaded, a financial summary, job completion status, and any critical or warning flags. It is worth reviewing this before asking questions. You can add a fresh health summary at any point during the conversation using the button to the left of the chat input
  • Type your question in the Chat Input box at the bottom of the screen and click the arrow button to submit. Questions can be in plain language - you do not need to use specific commands or syntax
  • Click the Prompts button at the bottom left to open a panel of suggested questions, organised into categories including Status & Progress, Financials, Billing & Invoicing, Schedule & Bookings, Resources & Artists, Data Quality, and Charts & Visualisations. Some prompts may appear greyed out depending on the data available for your project. (Prompts are labelled L, M or FULL, indicating the level of project data used to generate a response. The system starts with a summarised data set and will automatically load more detailed data if needed to answer your question.)
  • The Context Panel in the top right allows you to manage which projects are included in the current session - see Add Projects to the Session below

Add Projects to the Session

Morpheus can only analyse projects that have been loaded into the current session. Adding more projects allows you to ask comparative questions across multiple jobs. Click Context Panel in the top right to manage which projects are included. The panel has four tabs:

Context Panel TabDescription
RelatedProjects sharing the same producer, client, or product as the current project
SearchFree text search across all projects, with filters for Active, Completed, and High Margin
SelectedProjects you have added to the current session
HistoryPrevious Morpheus conversations for this project. Use Start New Chat to begin a fresh session

Tick the checkbox next to a project and click Load Project(s) to add it to the session. Morpheus will automatically generate a summary of the newly loaded project. Once loaded, additional projects appear as rows in the Loaded Projects bar - click between them to set the active project for discussion. To remove a project, use the X next to it in the Selected tab.

What Morpheus Can Help With

Morpheus is best suited to questions that combine data across multiple areas of a project. It will proactively flag issues such as negative margins, costs exceeding quoted revenue, unbilled completed work, and unconfirmed quotes on active projects.

AreaExample questions
Financial analysisWhat is the margin on this project? Are we at risk of going over budget? Where is our financial exposure?
Quotes & pricingHow does the quoted cost compare to actual cost? What discount did we give on this quote?
Resource & schedulingWho is booked on this project and for how many days? Are there any overruns?
Billing & cash flowHow much has been invoiced? Is there any completed work that hasn't been billed?
Risk & healthAre there any red flags on this project? What data is missing?
Library & assetsWhat assets do we hold for this project? Is this master still in the library?
Cross-project comparisonCompare these two projects - which is more profitable? Which has the better billing progress?

Please Note: Each Morpheus session starts fresh - previous conversations are not carried forward automatically. You can access previous conversations for a project via the History tab in the Context Panel. A dark/light mode toggle is available in the top right of the screen.
