DMG Control

Dubs, Media & Graphics (DMG) Requests/Instructions are the smaller tasks or actions that must be completed as part of a Job, such as exporting or importing video files or sharing file locations. These tasks can be requested within a scheduled Job and assigned to operators or assistants at your studio, who can pick these requests up and mark them as complete separately to the main service in the Job

The DMG Control is the screen in iCFM where you can manage all DMG Requests

  • Allocate a task to an operator or yourself
  • Mark a request as started
  • Mark a request as completed
  • Record actual hours for a request

As the operations team can be a really fast-paced department, as an added feature in the DMG control, if you are an operator you can quickly switch between users, making it easy for multiple operators to use one shared computer in an office and still correctly sign off on tasks.

How to Allocate DMG Jobs

  1. Menu > DMG Control
  2. Click the [...] in the Allocated to column
  3. Select the User/ DMG Operator* to assign the instruction to
    • Please Note: DMG Operator Resources must have /Operator as a Category Code

  • Click on the DMG row to expand the Request details below

  • Click the [...] in the VT Started to mark the DMG Request as started

  • Click the blue button to Start individual DMG Instructions
  • Click the two greens to mark the DMG Instruction as completed
