In order to win a Project you may offer to do some work for the Client, or provide a sample of your work. As this requires Scheduling Resources and generally doesn't get charged for, your Project will have incurred costs before it even starts. These are your Pitch Costs. In iCFM, we can flag all Pitch Costs in a Project in order to remove them from profit/loss calculations.
To view your Pitch Costs:
- Open your Project
- In the Project ribbon, select Summary Style H
- The ribbon will now show calculations of Quoted Pitch Costs and Project Pitch Costs
- Quoted Pitch Costs: The total of all line items toggled to Pitch on the quote
- Project Pitch Costs: The total of all services on Jobs flagged as Pitch
Pitch Costs Report:
- Open your Project
- Under the Progress+ tab, select Margins with Pitch
- This report is the same as the Margins report but with columns included for Pitch Costs (These values are calculated in the same way as Summary Style H described above)
Please Note: To use Pitch Costs, you need to have the following JSON setting enabled: "quote_detail_id_actuals": true
