Create an Invoice

To Create an Invoice you should already have a Billing Approval


  1. Open your Billing Approval
  2. Change the type dropdown to Invoice
  3. Click Save (Your Invoice Number will be issued)


If you do not have the permissions required to create an Invoice you must ask your finance department to convert your Billing Approval into an Invoice.


Please Note: Once you have converted a Billing Approval into an Invoice, most fields will be locked for editing; this is because you may have already sent the Invoice to the client or exported it to your finance software. There are a few detail fields which can still be edited such as Invoice header data - these fields are highlighted in green.


Configuration Options

It is possible to restrict the invoice date to the current month. This is accomplished using the RESTRICT_INVOICE_DATE_TO_CURRENT_MONTH config setting which can be set by your systems administrator. If this is set, you will not be able to save the invoice if the Invoice date does not fall within the current month.
